You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST (MPAS) in the CORPORATE OPERATIONS (80000) of NAVWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC.
Duties
You will comply with Executive Order 13526 for the management to ensure access to classified information is limited to appropriately cleared personnel with a valid need-to-know.
You will be responsible for vetting contractors utilizing policies set forth by the Secretary of Defense and Homeland Presidential Security Directive-12 using Mission Partner Identity Credential and Access Management (MP ICAM).
You will distinguish the difference between the Tier 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 background investigations and coordinate contractor access requirements for check-in and check-out with the NIWC LANT Collateral Personnel Security Team.
You will perform duties that consist of the completion of the multi-step process that includes establishing a contractor’s need for logical/physical access to either a DOD network or facility.
You will receive, review, and approve all contractor personnel meeting the minimum requirements identified in the associated regulations for being authorized a CAC and execute duties in the MP ICAM Common Access Card (CAC) Application Program.
You will participate in the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program by obtaining and maintaining the Security Fundamental Professional Certification (SFPC) within 2 years of appointment to the position.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience with Personnel Security and security systems; ability to initiate, review, submit and distinguish the difference in requirements for Tier level background investigations. Proficient in security programs, procedures and requirements.
