About the Position: This is a PERMANENT Supply Technician (OA/FLO) position with the USAG Fort Jackson, Directorate of Public Works, Business Ops/Integration Division at Fort Jackson, SC.

Duties

Serves as a card holder for the Government Purchase Card Program to purchase organization supplies and services according to established contracting procedures. Performs technical supply work and responsible for maintaining Army proper accountability utilizing automated systems (e.g., GCSSA-, GFEBS, WAWF and LIW). Maintains the supply room, warehouse, and determines stock level of supplies and equipment. Expedites delivery of urgently required items through calls, correspondence, or physically picking up parts from local vendors.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter.
  • Incumbent must possess or be able to obtain and maintain forklift license within three months of hire.
  • Incumbent is required to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.
  • A qualified typist is required.
  • Subject to call back 24/7 for emergency situations.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to DetailCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Supply PlanningTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
