About the Position: This a permanent position as a Supervisory Supply Technician with the US Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command at Ft Jackson, South Carolina
Duties
Organizes/maintains information and determines importance/accuracy.
Evaluates and analyzes regulatory compliance of the acquisition, procurement, requisitioning and control of supplies and project materials.
Manages inventory to sustain planned operational requirements to maximize availability of materials.
Executes organization strategies to achieve supply planning objectives in order to satisfy customer requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes directing the work of an organizational unit engaged in activities related to requisition, receipt and issue of equipment and supplies; investigating and analyzing a variety of routine and complex supply problems; coordinating and executing management objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
