There is one position located in the Division of Resolutions & Receiverships (DRR), Financial Services & Technology Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as follows:

Salary reflects a pay cap for this position of $275,000.
Duties
Serves as part of the management team making and implementing policy, control, and training for asset financial processing, servicing, and accounting activities from resolutions.
Provides supervision, leadership and guidance to assigned staff on policy, procedure, laws, regulations and other matters relating to the technical and administrative aspects of subordinate staff’s work such as interim servicing for assets from resolution, post-closing accounting and processing, and coordinating post- closing functions.
Provides accounting advice and assistance in the analysis of financial programs for complex business events and new types of FDIC business events to ensure proper accounting and reporting of the financial event.
Responsible for the development and coordination of program, policies, and procedures within their area of responsibility related to all phases of receivership accounting such as Structured Financing Transactions and Joint Venture Transactions accounting.
Ensures all financial operations, processes, and systems are effectively managed, documented and controlled.
Responsible for maintaining a system of internal controls to ensure the integrity of data contained in the financial information and processing systems.
Consults with the Deputy Director and/or Assistant Director in determining resources to devote to specific programs and the appropriateness of changes in program operations.
Continually monitors and evaluates the program with a view toward strengthening operation efficiencies and ensuring adequate controls of complex financial programs.
Represents Financial Services and Technology Branch, the Division, and the Corporation at various meetings and conferences conducted by the Corporation, other financial institution regulatory and audit agencies, financial institutions, and private industry.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Technical Experience: Experience in leading teams conducting projects associated with accounting and financial management operations in support of receivership operations, coordinating and assessing work, providing advice, guidance and training to other specialists, and ensuring end results are accepted and/or implemented.
