This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Information Systems Division, Arlington VA.
This position(s) primary purpose is to advise the Assistant Administrator/Chief Information Officer (CIO) and performs business management activities to
evaluate, develop, and implement the strategic direction of the organization and integration of program and enterprisewide solutions.
Duties
As a your typical work assignments may include:
Oversees and directs personnel and employee groups responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and managing TC's strategic business development and operations.
Performs analysis of the assigned Headquarters' organization's mission, structure, equipment, function, processes, procedures, and problem areas.
Analyzes the efficacy of all assigned organization's processes and resource allocations to develop strategies and determine the best policies, procedures, and use of resources
Serves as a facilitator and business strategist for the development of policies and guidelines governing the formulation, preparation, presentation, and execution of individual and collective programs.
Directs and manages special studies/programs and other designated elements to include management surveys, special research papers ranging from one-page memoranda to major studies, and assignments covering multi-divisional involvement.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of the announcement. If you are qualifying based on education or if there are mandatory education requirements listed below, you MUST submit a copy of your college transcripts with your application.
Applicants applying for the GS-15 must meet one of the following requirements:
A. Have at least one full year of specialized experience that is at least equivalent to work performed at the GS-14 grade level. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 Federal grade level demonstrating my ability in performing the following duties: 1) Managing the operations programs related to policies, procedures, and systems supporting administrative and financial organization's objectives; 2) Planning, to include tracking and reporting on accomplishments of program, goals and milestones that determine program efficiency; 3) Providing technical direction to subordinate employees on work to be accomplished; 4) Resolving complex and highly controversial issues and problems; 5) Assessing efficiency of the programs through studies, data collection and data analysis; 6) Developing metrics for analyzing production data to assess program performance and effectiveness; and, 7) Monitoring progress toward achieving strategic organizational goals, and evaluating, and implementing action plans to improve program performance.
