This position is located in the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships, HQ of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and serves as a senior technical tax reviewer and lead responsible for supporting, organizing and implementing all domestic and international tax compliance and technical tax advisory for failed banks placed in an FDIC receivership.

Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG/GS-14 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience performing legal tax research and analysis, reviewing Treasury regulations and sub regulatory guidance, developing legislative recommendations to Congress, and providing advice and guidance in tax mediations, appeals, trials and depositions.
