About the Position:
DoDEA Americas Southeast District operates 24 schools in 4 states across 2 time zones. There are nearly 900,000 military connected children of all ages worldwide, of which nearly 10,000 are enrolled in DoDEA Americas Southeast District schools and served by thousands of teachers and educational aides. All schools within DoDEA are fully accredited by U.S. accreditation agencies.
Duties
Identify and report known or suspected problems, issues or concerns to the appropriate staff member, or other official.
Assemble students and monitor their dismissal and movement through the hallways/cafeteria.
Monitor lunchroom activities to maintain order.
Maintain order and safety in recess areas to prevent unsafe/dangerous practices.
Ensure students are safely entering and exiting school buses and students are placed on the appropriate bus when departing for home.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- One year probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
General Experience: Three months of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as: providing customer service or assistance and following standard procedures.

Education: High School graduate (or equivalent)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience and may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 3.
