You will serve as a EXERCISE PLANNER in the AC/S G-3 OPERATIONS DIVISION of MARINE FORCES PACIFIC.
Duties
You will be the authority for the coordination and execution of assigned Joint Exercise Program exercises security operation activities for its operational forces.
You will coordinate efforts and synchronize directed activities and execute/refine planning products and procedures from multiple DoD, and Combatant Commander (CCDR) directorates.
You will interpret inputs from a wide spectrum of data sources and develop recommended courses of action for the planning and execution of Joint Exercises.
You will serve as the project manager with responsibilities to plan, coordinate and enable execution of operational exercises.
You will coordinate with G-1 Manpower planners to ensure appropriate manning for execution of exercise events.
You will participate in future operations planning and operational plan development as directed, and to ensure alignment of exercises and emerging operational objectives.
You will coordinate and enable sound transition from the Future Operations Directorate during planning to the Current Operations Directorate for execution of each planned exercise.
You will produce staff papers and briefs for the situational awareness of to higher authority echelons to staff and provide input to the Commander's Update brief as required.
You will maintain an up-to-date library of orders, instructions, and directives pertaining to the management of the Joint Exercise program.
Requirements

- This position requires rotating shift work.
- This is a "Key Personnel" billet; in the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent may be required to deploy or perform duties until relieved by proper authority.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- The incumbent may be required to take part in readiness exercises.
- This position requires to perform assigned duties in a field environment and under field conditions, as required.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
Serve as the senior project officer and program manager by analyzing, planning, and executing tactics and techniques for joint operational exercises to develop solutions on issues to meet theater strategic goals; apply processes and methods to develop decision packages, studies, and recommendations for mission objectives; and as a liaison will represent for Joint exercises through daily communication and conferences attended by higher, adjacent, and subordinate commands.

Note:
Qualifications include work experience that is equivalent to the position requirements including executive/senior management experience, program management experience, and specialized experience in the selected geographic area for provision of operational planning support.
Would prefer graduate of military Career Level Schools (CLS), Top Level Schools (TLS) and/or MAGTF operational planning course.
