About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.
You may need to complete a 3 year probationary period, if applicable.
This position is with 7th Signal Command, 21st Signal Brigade, 114th Signal Battalion, located at Adams County, Pennsylvania.
Duties
Responsible for management and oversight of Publishing, Records Management, and Privacy Act functions for the Battalion.
Manage a small staff engaged in the performance of a variety of duties concerned with personnel and training.
Review, assess, update, and publish Battalion Privacy Act Program and protection of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) controls, processes, and procedures.
Oversee the Civilian Personnel coordination to develop implementation of plans for personnel management policies, hiring and funding constraints, manpower surveys and personnel placements.
Develop and implement management policies, programs, and procedures for command and subordinate elements, and coordinates implementation with staff and
operating officials.
Conduct reviews, updates, and final processing of Table of Distribution Allowance (TDA)/Modification Table of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) to ensure documents align with manpower authorizations, study findings, and requirements documents.
Develop proposed data bases to ensure personnel and equipment authorizations and unit capabilities are current, complete, accurate, and adequate for mission
accomplishment.
Assign work based on priorities, selective consideration of difficulty, the requirement of the assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is designated as Key. The position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the mission.
