You will serve as a ANIMAL CARETAKER in the Domestic Animal Control Center, AC/S Security and Emergency Services Division of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Duties
You will observe animal appearance and activity for obvious signs of illness, disease, discontent, and general physical condition.
You will determine the type and amount of feed animals receive; provide standard types and amounts of feed and water for impounded animals.
You will monitor and assist in the daily operations of the animal shelter to ensure cleanliness, feed/watering, quarantine, and care of animals.
You will conduct vehicle patrols for stray animals, and routine investigations of animal nuisance complaints and incidents of animal cruelty/neglect.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You are required to complete a pre-employment exam with a baseline exam for TB screening, Tetanus, Toxoplasmosis Titer, Rabies Prophylaxis, Q Fever Titer and Rubeola within 90 days of appointment.
- You may be required to lift/carry food trays and feed materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
