This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, Office of Research Integrity, located in Rockville, Maryland.
Duties
Serves as the Division senior executive responsible to the ORI Director, OPHS/OS, and higher federal authorities for the direction, oversight, maintenance, and development of the DIO mission and activities.
Promotes the ORI education and integrity mission to leaders, executives, scientists, researchers in diverse fields, senior staff members, and PHS awardees in other federal agencies, state and local agencies, institutions of higher learning, and private sector institutions both nationally and internationally.
Directs and oversees DIO activities for the development of diverse educational programs, resources and collaborations with other federal agencies, with state and local agencies, with institutions of higher learning, and with other public or private sector agencies both nationally and internationally.
Directs and oversees all aspects of the administration and management of the Division and is responsible to ORI leadership and higher authority for the same.

Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Basic Requirement AND Specialized Experience requirements as noted below.
Basic Requirement: You must possess a Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree in a major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position.
AND
Specialized Experience:
GS-15: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-14 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (3) of the (4) duties listed below:
Directs the day-to-day operations of a research integrity and/or research misconduct program that include managing and supervising operations of a subordinate staff;
Provides oversight and/or quality improvement for research misconduct programs;
Advises on matters related to research misconduct investigations;
Implements policy, program, and/or educational development strategies related to research integrity and/or research misconduct.
