Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Supervisory Health Scientist Administrator, you will use be: Supervising a professional staff who oversees research and evidence reviews; Overseeing the development of a scientific portfolio of evidence reviews; and Serving as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to manage research projects related to evidence-based medicine and evidence synthesis.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Basic Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an accredited U.S. educational program. In order to qualify for this position based on education, you must submit transcripts. Please see the "Required Documents" section of this announcement for more information. -AND- Minimum Qualifications: In addition to the above Basic Qualification requirement, you must have one-year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing at least three (3) of the following: Specialized experience is defined as: Leading or supervising a team or workgroup. Reviewing scientific and technical merit of research proposals or research papers and/or collaborates with scientific review staff and/or grant management staff. Provide technical guidance to team members to ensure accurate and completion of assignments. Provide direction for a scientific portfolio or priorities on new evidence reviews or other scientific work for a program, workgroup, or area of science.
