You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.
Duties
You will comply, analyze, and summarize financial and budget information related to assigned areas of a financial program.
You will apply standard practices and procedures to phases of an annual budget and financial administrative process.
You will apply a wide range of standard practices and procedures to phases of an annual budget and/or financial administrative processes.
You will interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations
You will assists in formulation of budget and estimate support plans, programs, and activities.
You will need to have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-09
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience in identifying travel restrictions, required travel training, area clearances, and overseas travel arrangements.
- Experience utilizing the Defense Travel System and must be a subject matter expert in the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) with experience in both Travel Order Writing and Travel Order Liquidation.
- Experience interpreting organizational budgets, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices, and regulations.
- Experience performing analytical work pertaining to payroll, cash control, or benefit systems.
GS-07
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience in variety of other fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties.
- Experience researching guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and preparing summaries.
- Experience in creating, formulating, charting and graphing excel spreadsheets.
- Experience interpreting and applying DoD Financial Management Regulations.
