About the Position: Serves as a Senior Exercise Planner for the Joint Activities located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Serves as an Air Planner and Aviation Exercise Requirements Specialist.
Prepare and brief action officer and executive correspondence regarding aviation component training.
Coordinate all aspects of aviation support, training requirements, and after-action review for exercises.
Provide air scheduling information and coordinate with the air and space joint force providers
Provide aviation planning and execution of the Command's training and exercise program.
Serve as a joint force aviation subject matter expert with ability to liaise with aviation force providers.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is Deployable and is expected to travel OCONUS on regular, rotating basis and/or short notice. A physical is REQUIRED as a condition of employment prior to EOD and as needed, thereafter.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- May require TDY travel over more than 30 days to CONUS and OCONUS locations up to 30% of the time. This may require travel on military aircraft, ships and vehicles.
- Immunizations are required for deployed locations.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
