About the Position: Serves as Property Book Specialist, Supply Coordinator, and Safety Officer for the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8 (DCS, G-8) and Assistant Secretary of the Army, Financial Management and Comptroller (FM&C).

Duties

Responsible for interpreting and administering accountability procedures for personal property and special property such as historical artifacts. Trains appointed hand receipt holders on established policies and procedures set forth by the organizations chain of command. Serves as the subject matter expert in all aspects of property accountability procedures and operations for the organization. Maintains 100% property accountability to include equipment on hand, and/or on valid requisition or redistribution orders. Perform space utilization and lease management duties in support of DCS, G-8 and Financial Management and Comptroller building management activities. Performs as the Safety Officer for both agencies. Manages 125 parking allocations for DCS, G-8 and Financial Management and Comptroller.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The work requires strenuous physical activity such as, bending, standing for long periods, carrying and stacking of items such as large boxes, files, catalogues, equipment, etc., and frequent lifting of items over 35 pounds.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
