You will serve as a IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/OS) at the GG-13 grade level performing the installation, configuration, customization, and testing of systems and desktop Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications for NAVIFOR, HOPPER GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS CENTER (GCC), OPERATIONS DEPT., (N3), CROSS DOMAIN DIVISION (N35).
Duties
You will plan and carry out difficult and complex assignments utilizing IT systems and services to include installation, operation, and maintenance of automated communications systems and other desktop technologies.
You will perform the installation, configuration, customization, and testing of systems and COTS/GOTS applications.
You will develop integration, testing, and deployment plans, and execute those plans as necessary.
You will be responsible for installing and testing system security configuration, monitoring, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining workstation and server hardware and software.
You will develop and maintain technical and operational documentation to support hardware/software lifecycle (installation, operation, change and removal).

- This position may require a two-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
- This position may be subject to polygraph examination.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must meet qualification requirements of the specialty area assigned (45) as delineated in Appendix 4 of SECNAV M-5239.2.
- All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Qualifications
Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the

4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Perform the installation, configuration, customization, and testing of systems and desktop Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) and Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications; 2) Develop, recommend, and implement strategy and design for installation and configuration of hardware and software to meet current and future requirements; 3) Provide technical guidance and advice integrating systems into the IT architecture of an organization; 4) Verify application and systems to meet security compliance through review of security scans and security technical implementation guides (STIGs).
