You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Protection Management and Planning Department of NAS JRB FT WORTH SEC DET.
Duties
You will communicate management's strategic plan, mission, vision and values to junior level employees to help them understand their role in
organizational success.
You will develop short and long range security program management goals and objectives to support operations
You will write activity guidelines and instructions using security policy, procedures, techniques, and methods.
You will implement and oversee the Physical Security plans and programs (e.g. intrusion detection systems, access control systems, closed circuit TV
[CCTV]) for consistency with security policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Work is mostly sedentary with some walking, standing and riding in a vehicle.
- In the case of crisis situations or emergencies, the incumbent must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods of time, run, resist attach, use firearms, and physically restrain and apprehend persons.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This is a Mission Essential position. The incumbent must ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- Positions that are supervisory/ managerial require that first time supervisors/managers complete a one-year trial/probationary period if not previously completed in a competitive or other excepted service position.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Enforce criminal laws and security regulations to maintain law and order and preservation of peace; 2) Identify areas which improved physical security, loss prevention, and law enforcement measures are required; 3) Maintain and/or establish program for conducting force protection and anti-terrorism activity , ATO level 2 graduate, familiar with the CVAMP program; 4) Draft policy, instructions, and other necessary documentation in support of security programs; and 5) Providing law enforcement and investigative services to provide for planning, operating and administering a law enforcement and investigative program.
