This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within PERSONNEL SECURITY DIVISION. As a Lead Personnel Security Specialist (Adjudicator), you will be responsible for the investigation and adjudication of prospective federal applicants and contractors for sensitive and non-sensitive positions. You will also conduct Special Investigations involving possible misconduct on the part of employees and contractors both on and off duty.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Independently adjudicating federal background investigations and reporting them in the central depository, in accordance with all applicable guidelines.
Examples of such experience may include:
-Experience making suitability and national security access and eligibility determinations of applicants for entry into positions and incumbents as needed. OR
-Experience communicating with federal, state or local law enforcement in an effort to grant, deny, revoke or suspend national security clearances. OR
-Experience with recognizing issues and derogatory information in order to compile adjudicative reports, letters of interrogatory, letters of advisement, and proposed action letters, to assist with making suitability and national security eligibility determinations.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for at least 52 weeks.
