The primary purpose of this position is: Serves as the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for 42 ABW Readiness programs and will accomplish all planning and programming required for conducting Readiness Training.
Duties
Directly assists the Wing Commander/director in the management of all Wing readiness program functions for 42 ABW Readiness Airman Training. Serves as the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for 42 ABW Readiness programs and will accomplish all planning and programming required for conducting Readiness Training.
Air Base Readiness Integrator Develops Airman Readiness course training standards, syllabus, instructor & student responsibilities, academic evaluations, and mission evaluations to the approval authority.
Conduct assessments in all aspects of multidisciplinary security of DoD weapon systems, which includes interoperability, risk identification and mitigation, incident response, mission assurance, and exercise mission areas. Consults with intelligence, maintenance, munitions, operations, other mission support functions, and applicable mission partners. Leads the SFE's Integrated Tactics Network (ITN) that encompasses the total force (Active, Guard, Reserve) as well numbered air force, wings, operations groups, security forces groups and squadrons responsible for ensuring the development and publications of TTPs, best practices, lessons learned, and TD&E processes.
Maintains a continuous liaison with other Air Staff, other service headquarters counterparts, and DOD offices to integrate Air Force Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution Process (PPBE) support actions. Executes readiness Integration POAM actions and funding requests. Tracks and updates POAM actions, assist/advise with funding solutions. Provides results of studies, analyses, and evaluations to counterpart agencies to share experiences and thereby improve overall defense level planning in areas of assignment.
Manage files, libraries, and databases. Supports tactics development and dissemination responsibilities IAW AFMAN 11- 260/applicable Tactics Development Program guidance.

- Shall have minimum ten years SF operational experience and in-depth knowledge of DoD, Joint and AF security publications.
- Travel may include overnight stays.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location.
- Shall have experience of four years as an AF Doctrine manager.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software, able to use various programs, such as Task Management Tool, Teams, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project to generate various products.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes performing an in-depth knowledge of Air Base Wing Readiness Programs and the policies, directives/instructions, and guidance governing HAF/A3 Readiness Airman Training program and TD&E. Thorough knowledge of advanced management and organizational principles and practices and a comprehensive knowledge of planning, programming, and budgeting regulations, guidelines, and processes; and a thorough knowledge of Department of Defense and Air Force planning, acquisition, and management processes to provide PPBS guidelines and advisory services in support to long-range war, mobilization, exercise, deployment, and similar operations planning efforts.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the regulation, policies, directives/instructions, and guidance governing HAF/A3 Readiness Airman Training program and TD&E processes and the ability to maintain relationship of the various Air Force entities involved in overall planning and execution of military operations and evaluations, and the way the PPBS process supports them.
2. Knowledge, technical expertise, leadership ability, communication, and organizational skills to execute integrated composite force operations and mission planning cell functions with USAF/joint forces.
3. Knowledge in the development of instructional programs aimed at teaching unit operators the functions and capabilities of weapons, weapons-related equipment, weapons-delivery systems, and the employment of weapon/tactics in the operational arena to ensure Readiness training is accomplished.
4. Knowledge in developing AF doctrine with prior experience as an AF Doctrine manager.
5. Skilled in ability to review and analyze TTP deficiencies and necessary actions to remedy capability gaps/problem areas, advise methods to appraise assigned programs or projects, and identify needs and solutions; develop goals, policies, and procedures; monitor progress; and evaluate success.
6. Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and decision-making. Ability to plan, organize, and lead others in studies or projects and to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations, where proposals involve substantial resources, and require extensive changes in established concepts and procedures.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
