About the Position: Serves under the general direction of the Director of the Army Staff (DAS) who provides for the integration, synchronization, and coordination of Army policy, plans, positions, procedures and cross functional issues for Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA).
Duties
Review, analyze, and develop recommendations on DoD and Army administrative actions that are processed through the Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) for Army Senior Leader decision.
Prepare planning directives for Director of the Army Staff (DAS) signature to organize the Army Staff effort in producing required products to implement Army Senior Leader (ASL) decisions for assigned special projects.
Independently plans, coordinates, and carries out projects through to completion, coordinating directly with the DOM/VDAS or DDOM to determine whether to broaden or narrow the scope of projects or analyses.
Monitor preparation for meetings, both classified and unclassified, attended, chaired, or co-chaired by the Director of the Army Staff (DAS) or DOM/VDAS.
Ensure effective provision of a wide variety of administrative services supporting the Office of the Chief of Staff Army, Army Command and Army Service Component Command liaison offices, Direct Reporting Units, and assigned Field Operating Agency.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
Qualifications
Position may be filled as a term appointment Not-To-Exceed (2) years. Term appointments may be extended beyond six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.
Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a term appointment will be appointed/converted into a term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
