You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (OA) in the SURFACE WARFARE OFFICERS SCHOOL.
Duties
You will coordinate phone calls and visitors to appropriate personnel or other offices.
You will create summarized data (e.g., reports, presentation) using business software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
You will answer phones and directs calls to appropriate personnel.
You will serve as a Command Pay and Personnel Administrator (CPPA) and resolve administrative issues (e.g., travel orders, payment issues, timekeeping) in an office environment.
You will arrange travel for staff members using an automated travel system.
You will compose and edit outgoing correspondence to ensure correct content, grammar, and format.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of federal personnel laws, regulations, and processes to administrator personnel functions; 2) Utilizing automated pay and personnel systems to review, update, and create personnel actions;3) Responding to verbal and written inquires regarding personnel entitlements and eligibilities; and 4) Composing and editing reports and correspondence to ensure accuracy and proper formatting.

This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
