You will serve as an OFFICE ASSISTANT (OA) in the LEGAL DEPARTMENT of NAVSAFECOM.
Duties
You will provide administrative services in support of responses to information requests, military justice matters, administrative discharges, and other accountability actions.
You will collect and process mail to include scanning copies of requests, creating paper files, and preparing mailings for responses and referrals.
You will use a variety of application software packages to create, copy, edit, store, and retrieve documents.
You will monitor the office's budget for printing, supplies, travel, and training requests.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conveying written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience while using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; 2) Identifying and analyzing problems, evaluating information, and seeking alternatives to make effective recommendations; 3) Preparing, receiving, reviewing, and verifying documents to ensure office records are filed in an organized manner; and 4) Performing administrative support duties and general office clerical work.
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
