About the Position: This position is located at the G3 DOT REGISTRAR at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, bordering Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive east and Springfield is a 1-hour drive west of Fort Leonard Wood.

Duties

Responsibilities include planning, analyzing, designing, developing, monitoring, evaluating, revising and integrating training and related products. This includes, but is not limited to institutional lesson plans, practical exercises, media support products and testing instruments. Ensures training effectiveness of the above-mentioned products. Reviews products for adherence to policies and specified models and requirements such as the Analysis Design Development Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) model. Maintains liaison with Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) as well as within the directorate on policy guidance and to keep up-to-date with changes as they occur. Coordinates with other divisions and departments' to ensure product consistency within the directorate. Provides guidance and assistance to subject matter experts (SME) in product development. Performs writing and editorial functions on instructional products. Conducts developmental testing and validates training products. Ensures effectiveness of training and training products. Assists in integration of emerging technologies into the training support system within department. Performs continuing evaluation/quality control duties. Prepares and updates training development plans and other resource documents, detailing the projected milestone dates for accomplishment of all analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation efforts. This includes establishing work year/personnel requirements, cost requirements, and overall narrative justification for entire ADDIE process as it applies to the specialty subject area.

(4) Instructional product development: Study of the techniques appropriate for developing training materials, including identifying learner characteristics, specifying objectives, applying training strategy, validating training materials, and evaluating training. Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. Superior Academic Achievement is based on:(1) Class Standing - Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses;

OR

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Education.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
