Duties
You will perform formulation of budgets and estimates to support plans, program and activities.
You will review and evaluate budget requests, and will track the status of and report on obligations and expenditures.
You will perform a variety of fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties.
You will perform varied duties by applying a series of different and unrelated, but established methods, practices, and techniques.
You will apply a wide range of standard practices and procedures to phase of an annual budget and/or financial administrative process.
You will perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting, and interpretative functions associated with the management and control of resources or funds.
You will perform analytical work pertaining to payroll, cash control and benefit systems.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- GS-07: This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines.
- GS-9: This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
GS-07:
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Knowledge of financial management processes, laws, and regulations; Knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and other Web-Based systems; Knowledge in prioritizing and initiating work and maintaining deadlines.
GS-09:
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Detailed knowledge of financial management processes, laws, and regulations; Sufficient knowledge to analyze formulation and execution of financial programs; Significant knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Web-Based systems and Knowledge in prioritizing and initiating work and maintaining deadlines.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify for the position based on education. Education obtained must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. To qualify based on education, applicant must possess:
GS-07
1 full year of graduate level education
or
superior academic achievement
GS-09
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
