Duties
You will analyze financial data from multiple cost centers to develop an organization's program objectives memorandum (POM).
You will identify potential budget or financial impact of new or revised legislation or regulations on current programs or processes.
You will plan work schedules, deadlines, and standards for acceptable levels of financial, accounting, or budgeting work.
You will prepare reports (e.g., obligations, prior year data) to provide senior leaders with data needed for decision making.
You will analyze financial data and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of an organization's programs and administrative operations.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: .Demonstrating a mastery of the concepts, principles, practices, laws, and regulations of budgeting (e.g. Department of Defense (DoD) agencies and their relation to subordinate and senior levels.); sufficient knowledge to coordinate and analyze formulation and execution of complex, high-visibility programs; and knowledge of accounting (e.g. DoD) and feeder systems (e.g., SABRS, SMARTS, WAWF, PRB, etc.) to be able to train subordinates and Financial Managers across an entire organization (e.g. military/civilian); and experience in leading, supervising, motivating and counseling employees.
