Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Contracting Officer Representative, you will be: Serving as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and/or alternate COR (ACOR) for one or more contracts. Serving as lead for managing the budget in coordination with the Director. Serving as the Strategic Work Information and Folder Transfer (SWIFT) Correspondence System Representative.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR To qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level, you must possess the following qualifications: SELECTIVE FACTOR: This position requires the incumbent to serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for a portfolio of contracts and leads the development of Request for Contract (RFC) packages, and a COR, level II certification or higher is required. Candidates who do not meet this requirement by close of this announcement will receive no further consideration for this position. Documentation of this certification must be provided with your application package. (See 'Required Documents' section) -AND- Minimum Qualifications: You must have one-year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing at least two (2) of the following: Managing contracts, including planning, scheduling, implementing, closing out, and/or evaluating complex contracts to manage all aspects of the contract life cycle. Managing contracts with issues such as contractor performance, delinquent payments, insufficient or late deliverables, and/or awards protests. Managing office budgets, including formulation and execution, tracking spending rates, and/or being able to develop reports and communicate the status with upper management. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
