This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the STRL Mission Support direct hire authority. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties

You will be responsible for providing program protection in the interest of national security. You will plan, implement and administer the Sensitive Compartmented Information security programs, comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. You will also provide support in the areas of program protection planning, personnel, industrial, physical and Information Systems (IS). You will prepare, review and evaluate program and security documentation to ensure adequate protection is provided in accordance with program requirements.

Requirements

• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

For DA-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band (DA-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Applying security concepts, principles and practices to review, analyze and resolve security problems; 2) Initiating and administering sensitive projects, testing and security operations; 3) Applying knowledge of Information and Personnel Security program regulations and Physical Security manuals; and 4) Working with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat. For DA-04: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band (DA-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Working with Automated Information Systems (AIS) security equipment, programs, alarm systems, entry control systems and intrusion detection systems; 2) Applying security concepts, principles, and practices to review, analyze and resolve difficult and complex security problems; 3) Assisting with initiating and administering sensitive projects, testing and security operations; and 4) Applying knowledge of security procedures, policy guidelines and regulations for security management of programs, personnel, and resources. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For DA-04:
Successful completion of Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree

OR

Possession of an LL.M., if related to the position

OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
