About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Duties
Manage government property and equipment.
Conduct, manage and supervise life cycle management of items.
Identify warehouse discrepancies.
Train on equipment acquisition processes and equipment vendor pay processing.
Manage excess equipment reporting.
Counsels employees on work and administrative matters.
Receive, resolve or escalate complaints from subordinates.
Identify training and developmental needs for subordinates.
Plan workload personnel requirements.
Plan and direct the work of multiple sub-sections.
Plan work and schedules for subordinates.
Manage and oversee the utilization of automated logistics system.
Plan training programs.
Supervise and provide technical oversight of subordinate civilian personnel.
Evaluate work performance of subordinates.
Conduct interviews.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A personnel security investigation is required.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.
- This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 450) upon entry and annually thereafter.
- This position may require the incumbent to work on call during irregular hours which may include evenings, weekends, holidays and/or varying work schedules.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing property and assets such as upkeep of property records, issuance and tracking of general equipment, managing inventory and reporting, utilizing automated systems or resolving property-related issues.
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: logistics, property management, property accountability, leadership, etc.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
