Duties

Oversees the Region’s Property Books to include: property; supply; inventory management; authorization; acquisition; issue; accountability; and documentation control. Keeps issued property records. Determines the most efficient loan of equipment support options. Monitors supply operations and supply performance indicators to reduce invalid requisitions and streamlining requisition flow. Tracks and accounts for non-expendable supplies and equipment purchase documents.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A National Agency Check w/ Inquiries (NACI) background investigation is required.
  • This position is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
  • May be required to travel up to 25% of time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes demonstrated experience 1) Resolving issues or problems in supply operations, planning, or program management; 2) Applying supply principles, concepts, and methodologies in the technical supply specializations (i.e. inventory, packaging, storing, or distributing) of supply program operations; and 3) Coordinating facility related contracts, making recommended changes, developing statements of work, completing required contracting documents, and overseeing the completion of projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: supply chain management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsInventory ManagementManaging Human ResourcesProject ManagementTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
