About the Position: As the District's appointed Management Control Administrator, acts as the senior responsible official to manage the District's Management Control Program to ensure funds, property, and other resources are safeguarded against waste, loss, unauthorized use, or misappropriation. Conducts studies of complex work processes, functions, and procedures throughout the District; activities frequently crossing organizational lines.
Duties
Types of studies conducted include the following: management analysis, advisory service, organizational analysis, methods and procedures analysis, management surveys, and management research studies
propose studies to pin-point areas of responsibility within or between organizations concerned from a review of drafts proposing reorganizations
review existing regulatory data and policies of higher headquarters
determine whether new policy statements are within local authority
review, analyze and evaluate methods, procedures and practices employed in operating segments for the purpose of developing new or revised local policies and regulations for management improvement purposes
Function as the District's Committee Management Officer. Receive proposals for the establishment of new committees and assures consistency with regulatory guidance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to acquire a Department of Defense (DoD) Financial Management Certification Level II within 24 months upon entry of position.
