Duties

Oversee management of the Engineering Division workload and workforce planning and analysis use the Engineering Management Systems (EMS) tool, as well as other data bases and computer programs, in support of major Engineering projects and programs. Review workload based on established priorities and needs. Identify potential work delays and facilitate their resolution. Monitor the Engineering milestone schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. Plan and execute other design management activities using proven systems for the Corps of Engineers (COE). Provide strategic advice to the Division Chief regarding project schedules, resourcing, and budgets. Analyze historical data to support predictions of future requirements. Responsible for the direct management, planning, review, control, and coordination of all activities pertaining to priorities, workforce management and progress of all work of the Sacramento District Engineering Division. Supervises up to ten Direct Reports in the Engineering Division Front Office staff, ranging from GS-4 to GS-12.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: LeadershipPerformance MeasurementPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
