This position is located in the Office of Communications (OCOM), Headquarters, of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and is responsible for creating, developing and producing multi-faceted audio and video projects that elevate the Corporation’s brand and messages through creative storytelling.
Duties
Creates video content for corporate marketing, recruiting and communications efforts.
Develops ideas and pitches concepts to program partners. Liaises with partners to gather input and keep them informed.
Produces and edits content for digital platforms, including websites and social media; working with in-house and with internal partners/designers to prepare and publish imagery for web and social media use.
Manages end to end workflows, ensuring videos are delivered on time, within scope, are policy compliant, and meet the creative bar. Develops and manages production plan and calendar, aligning with the agency’s communications strategy to increase views, engagement, and brand affinity.
Optimizes production and guides producers and editors to bring ideas to life in ways that are on-brand, connect with audiences, and utilize resources efficiently.
Works with a team of specialists with expertise in graphic design, video production, photography, and animation. Collaborates in planning sessions with stakeholders, partners, and subject-matter experts in the creative use of audiovisuals to communicate ideas.
Supports and partners with internal partners in developing brand strategies and policies that reinforce organization brand and corporate objectives.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 11 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience creating, developing, and producing multi-faceted audio and video projects; and collaborating with other specialists to deliver multimedia content for outreach initiatives.
