About the Position: Performs a wide variety of supply technical duties in support of the automated stock record accounts. Assists the ammunition accountable officer in monitoring and reviewing the receipt, storage and issue of ammunition, explosives, missiles/rockets and residue
Duties
Performs a wide variety of supply technical duties in support of the automated stock record accounts and provides assistance to the ammunition accountable officer.
Maintains accurate accounting and reporting systems for non-expendable property and perform routine phases of property management
Provides assistance to the systems analyst on maintaining stock record accountability of ammunition utilizing automated systems.
Reviews data input, reports, change packages, day-to-day operations, etc., and makes recommendations to resolve problems.
Provides technical advice on stock record control operations to coworkers, customers, related ammunition supply point (ASP) units and supporting offices.
Performs technical and clerical input to provide units and activities with return lists, scheduling and coordination of the reconciliation of all basic load and training ammunition issue documents for the installation.
Answers customers and contracting personnel questions on policies, procedures and directives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid state driver's license.
- This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program. If not currently occupying a TDP position successful completion of a pre-appointment drug test is required.
- Since this position has unaccompanied access to arms, ammunition and explosives, the position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
- Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) utilizing an automated supply system to track inventory and 2) providing guidance to customers regarding policies and/or procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-6).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
