About the Position: Perform a wide variety of supply technical duties in support of the automated stock record accounts. Assists the ammunition accountable officer in monitoring and reviewing the receipt, storage and issue of ammunition, explosives, missiles/rockets and residue

Duties

Tracks the process and notes problems with authorization of individuals picking up or turning in ammunition; issue; receipt; storage; etc. Reviews the process and progress of and provides reports on recurring and special inventories. Utilizes automated systems (the Standard Army Ammunition System (SAAS) and Training Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS) and the serial number item tracking of category I/II items from cradle to destruction. Provides technical advice on stock record control operations to coworkers, customers, related ammunition supply point (ASP) units and Army Field Support Battalion (AFSBn) supporting offices. Performs technical and clerical input to provide units and activities with return lists, scheduling and coordination of the reconciliation of all basic load and training ammunition issue documents for the installation.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent may be required to obtain and maintain a T3 secret clearance.
  • Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program.
  • Since this position has unaccompanied access to arms, ammunition and explosives, the position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment.
