About the Position: Serves as the Supply Technician for the Directorate of Emergency Services reporting directly to the Chief, Support Services Division.
Duties
Maintains the Property Book to reflect all items of property to include repair parts and components received, issued, or otherwise disposed.
Prepares issue, turn-in, and other transaction documents for nonexpendable property.
Maintains a register of transaction documents and makes necessary postings to the property accountability records.
Physically inventories property at periodic intervals.
Maintains hand-receipt file of all nonexpendable items received from the Property Book Officer for the Installation.
Serves as the Information Technology (IT) property manager for the Directorate of Emergency Services.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This is a drug testing position and subject to random urinalysis.
- Since this position has unaccompanied access to arms, ammunition and explosives, the position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing a variety of supply support functions such as, but not limited to: maintaining materials, some hazardous; for issue, receipt, turn-in and/or proper disposal; preparing and/or maintaining sub-hand receipts utilizing an automated supply system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
