About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security - TADSS, Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN about 45 miles NW of Nashville.
Duties
Serve as Supervisory Training Support Specialist Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
Responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and management of a variety of Training Aids, Training Devices, Simulations and Simulators (TADSS) and training facilities to support live and virtual training.
Oversee and manage work requiring substantial coordination, integration and consolidation of a number of major assignments.
Responsible for the content and effectiveness of TADSS training programs ranging from one hour classes to multi-day programs.
Requirements
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position is subject to a one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- The incumbent must obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- This position requires a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).

Specialized Experience is defined as: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience: 1) Providing management of training instruction, live and virtual training devices, and facilities; 2) Contributing budgeting information and training into the training development plan; and 3) Providing Human Resource management functions by setting schedules, priorities of work, and performance standards.
For this job at the GS-12 grade level, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade, time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
