About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W0H9AA US ARMY AVIATION AND MISSILE COMMAND.
Duties
Serves as General Military Intelligence Analyst and organization expert for threats to Army technology.
Conducts foreign threat analysis to Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) efforts at the Army Aviation Missile Command (AMCOM) to support command and Army customers with products assessing the foreign threat to Army weapons.
Conducts research and analysis of foreign intelligence, counterintelligence or military forces, operations, capabilities, and trends to support all-source intelligence and threat production.
Analyzes intelligence information to assess developments, trends, and threat implications to the Department of Defense supply chain.
Develops estimates and projections aimed at safeguarding the Department of Defense supply chain.
Facilitates information-sharing among U.S government partners. Serves as a project leader on complex research studies.
Maintains close liaison with counterparts in other government agencies and ensures coordination with other analysts in the U.S. Intelligence Community.
Plans, coordinates, and synthesizes research from other SCRM analysts to prepare all-source intelligence products and responses.
Assists in identifying action items to develop and improve Army and AMCOM policy regarding the supply chain risk management analysis methods and products.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a single scope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counter-intelligence scope polygraph examination on a periodic basis.
- TDY travel may be required more than 25% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) conducting intelligence collection, analysis, and research to assess threats to supply chain and weapons systems (2) assisting with developing intelligence collection programs (3) and providing guidance on all-source intelligence assessments and products. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG 12). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
