About the Position:
The position is located at the Mark Center Building in Alexandria, VA. The Mark Center is the new location for the Washington Headquarters Services of the United States Department of Defense (DoD) and a number of other DoD agencies. The name of the site refers to the "Mark Center" commercial property in which it is located.
This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
Duties
Manage the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems
Provide guidance on guidance statements, business case analysis, and system design and development.
Work with various agencies to identify and integrate business applications.
Map systems, processes, organizations, gaps in capabilities, discovers bottlenecks, and other various system complications within the enterprise architecture.
Inspect supplies and services to determine acceptability and reject those that do not meet the contract standards or requirements.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- One year trial or probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- This position requires a Tier 3 (T3) investigation.
- You may be required to sign a transportation agreement.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Contracting Officer Representative certification within 6 months of appointment.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain the most recent Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundation Version within 12 months of appointment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes test, monitor and evaluate Information Technology technologies during design, development, procurement and/or implementation to ensure requirements are met; ensure compliance of information security/information assurance policies, practices, and procedures; recommend or advise management on information system methodologies such as system development standards, procedures, programming requirements, and documentation; inspect supplies and services to determine if they meet contract requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted at the GS-12 grade level.
