The primary purpose of this position is to plan, implement, administer, and counsel units and their leadership on individual, family, and community issues.

Assesses needs and provides continuing work/life services to leadership, organizations, and serviced populations within assigned units and in the M&FRC.
Develops, implements, and manages installation, work/life services programs, establishing goals, objectives, and procedures in accordance with applicable state and DoD, Air Force and other federal guidance, regulations, and laws.
Consults with on- and off-site community leadership officials on work/life and related issues.
Designs and establishes marketing and public relations strategies to ensure target populations are informed of services and activities.
Develops and uses self-assessment, community-assessment, and various measurement tools to identify trends, organizational needs, and Air Force and unit demographic profiles.
Designs, manages, develops, and implements procedures to monitor, analyze and document service effectiveness.
Develops, implements, and manages installation, work/life services programs.
Gathers data, compiles statistics, and reports information to M&FRC Flight Chief for use at installation, MAJCOM, Air Staff, and DoD levels.

- Behavioral or social science degree; or combined education and experience that provides knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
or
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in marketing and public relations campaigns, work/life issues and interest areas such as personal financial management, employment, community life, transition, relocation, emergency/crisis assistance, personal and family readiness, and other work/ life issues.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of social services delivery systems as well as wide range of concepts, principles, theories, and practices relating to one or more of the social or behavioral science fields.
Skill in conducting interviews to establish the nature and extent of concerns/issues, provide assistance in developing goals and plans, and determine appropriate referral services/options when frequently there is difficulty in determining clients' needs or wants or in convincing them to accept that problems exist.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships using tact and diplomacy in interactions with individuals/families, leadership of organizations, and with program representatives and officials.
Ability to assess and measure organization trends, and needs; assist in identifying and prioritizing goals; and provide guidance and direction for the development and implementation of effective plans and tools to address such issue.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
