Provides installation and mission support and serves as a responsible steward of resources to deliver war-winning capabilities. To exercise supervisory and management authority over the Military & Family Readiness Center assigned. Serves as a consultant to leadership on matters related to personal and family readiness.

- Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Military & Family Readiness Flight by developing goals and objectives that integrate organizations and Military & Family Readiness Flight objectives to build and enhance instillation unit and family readiness through center-based, unit-based and community outreach delivery.
- Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with other base organizations, senior leadership, squadron commanders, and representatives from other military services, Department of Defense agencies, and related civilian organizations.
- Administers and ensures Family Support Program community needs for eligible personnel and their families, including those located at geographically separated units.
- Establishes, revises, or reviews polices, procedures, mission objectives, and organization of the staff as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to support mission accomplishment.

- Obtain and maintain Security clearance
- Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website.
- This is a designated Drug Testing Position
- Supervisory requirements may be required depending upon the position being filled.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Social Science Series positions located here.
Basic Requirements
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
or
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
or
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-03 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-13 in the Federal Service. Specialized experience includes development support, crisis/disaster/assistance, family life education and other services and activities provided to military members, retirees, DoD civilians and their families.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Professional knowledge of concepts, principles, theories, and practices relating to social or behavioral science
2. Knowledge of financial, budget, resource management practices and principles, and analytical and evaluative methods and techniques
3. Skills in effectively organizing and utilizing community resources within the program framework to augment the program and meet installation objectives
4. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization
5. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources
