About the Position: Serves as the Program Manager (Operations Branch Chief) (SAR WF) with the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9, Sharp Division located in Arlington, Virginia.

Duties

Exercise delegated authority to oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of the Army Sexual Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program. Chair and conduct multi-functional teams, conferences, in-process reviews, and deliberate planning sessions to establish and implement Army SHARP Program policy. Maintain oversight of the Army’s SHARP Program to set conditions for effective and enduring institutional actions. Develop and manage long range plans, goals and objectives and performs on-going SHARP Program.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • SECRET CLEARANCE-Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Incumbent is required to self-report civilian arrests, the filing of criminal charges, and/or convictions of any criminal offense to their supervisors and security office.
  • Background checks against all records as required by law, OPM, DoD, and Army policy and regulation will be conducted, prior to entering on duty in the position and, IAW governing regulations, on a recurring basis while employed in the position.
  • Must maintain an active D-SAACP certification and up-to-date commander appointment orders prior to having any victim contact or access to victim information
  • In the event that D-SAACP certification is expired, suspended, or is revoked, the individual is not authorized to serve in any SHARP position or perform SHARP duties until D-SAACP certification is reinstated.
  • Must successfully complete required Sexual Harassment and Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) training and obtain and maintain DoD Sexual Assault Advocate Certification Program (D-SAACP) within 6 months after start date.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period may be required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementOral CommunicationOrganizational Awareness Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
