Duties

You will serve as Navy’s Lead Action Officer (AO) for adoption of policies and strategies for implementation of Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) and Enterprise Cloud to achieve Navy mission outcomes. You will establish strategy, policy, direction, and guidance for adoption of DevSecOps and Cloud Computing that will enable the development of cloud-native systems and applications. You will represent OPNAV N2N6 at various National executive-level DevSecOps and Cloud related programming requirements and capabilities working groups, meetings, seminars, panels or conferences. You will handle highly complex, sensitive, or ambiguous challenges facing the organization. You will engage in in strategic, intermediate and long-term planning, coordination and implementation oversight of DevSecOps and Cloud strategies to include the Intelligence Community. You will represent the strategic policy positions to leadership, stakeholder teams, engineering, and other organizations to drive strategic discussions and compliance solutions.

  • The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating advanced management and organizational principles and practices, with a comprehensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods for analyzing programs and policies. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1) Applying qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of IT program effectiveness; 2) Applying knowledge of Development, Security, and Operations principles and services and emerging technologies to the integration of cloud native systems and applications; 3) Collaborating with internal and external personnel (e.g., interagency working groups, external organizations, commercial sector etc.) to develop plans, policies, and processes for an IT program; and, 4) Evaluating existing/operational IT systems and applications to provide recommendations on integration within a cloud hosting environment.
