This National Guard position is for a INTEGRATED PRIMARY PREVENTION SPECIALIST (PREV WF) (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T0062P01 and is part of the FL JFHQ, National Guard.
Duties
As a INTEGRATED PRIMARY PREVENTION SPECIALIST (PREV WF) (TITLE 5), GS-0101-12, you will be responsible for the direction and technical oversight of all integrated primary prevention personnel; attends all meetings, briefings, and conferences as a lead representative of the integrated prevention program; and responsible for the full range of integrated prevention administrative requirements. Manages the integrated prevention resources and requirements to ensure continuous and efficient operations and develops and executes the integrated prevention fiscal year budget. Supports the IPPO in the execution of the continuous improvement and system integration functions of the state. Manages, plans, and coordinates a proactive continuous improvement culture that builds research based integrated prevention into daily office functioning. Oversees business process changes across all integrated primary prevention functional areas and leads the collaboration on complex interfaces with NG and state systems and similar related processes. Ensures subject matter experts provide assistance, consulting services and training for all assigned personnel, and community stakeholders when appropriate. Supports the IPPO in the execution of the internal programmatic review. Monitors and oversees all internal review ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Ensures effective liaison with external inspection agencies such as the NGB Integrated Prevention Workforce, and the Inspector General.

Qualifications
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title 5, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)", and is open to current on-board (Tenure 1, 2 and 3) US Federal employees interested in helping the Department of the Army meet our mission requirements as an Integrated Primary Prevention Specialist (PREV WF).
PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have a degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position

Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field
or
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS12 Must have at least 12 months of experience at the GS11 level ensuring legal and regulatory requirements as well as the needs of National Guard (NG) Service members, families and communities are met as they relate to programs associated with or related to the Integrated Primary Prevention Program (IPP); experience researching, interpreting, analyzing, and applying Department of Defense (DoD), National Guard Bureau (NGB), Air National Guard (ANG), or Army National Guard (ARNG) prescribing directives; Public Law, guidance, and regulatory instructions; monitoring and controlling budget and fiscal plans for related programs or related functions; making appropriate IPP or related policy and strategy recommendations to National Guard Bureau (NGB); formulating and implementing appropriate control procedures and various program audits to ensure programs in area of responsibility are implemented and managed consistent with prescribing guidance, and that all resources are utilized as efficiently as possible.
EMPLOYMENT NOTES:
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. The incumbent of this position description must have at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment.
2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
3. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
4. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.
5. May require travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
6. The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an appropriate valid driver's license is mandatory.
7. Must be able to obtain required certifications, as applicable.
8. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
