About the Position: This Training Specialist position is located at 1st Armored Division, G-3 with duty location of Fort Bliss, TX.

Duties

Works jointly with the Deputy Chief in the planning, development, and execution of training programs, policies, and procedures in support of the 1st Armored Division (1AD) and Fort Bliss training units. Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for procurement of a variety of training products and services for training programs which affects, to a considerable extent, contractors' operations. Oversees the enrollment and training completion of civilians and Soldiers to include Special Operations, National Guard, Reserve and Active Component in Troop School courses conducted at Fort Bliss.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) travel may be required 10% of the time.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsComplianceOrganizational AwarenessPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Education
