The incumbent serves as the Technical Manager for the Mission Support Team Front Office (MST-FO). The incumbent is responsible for supervising the daily execution of MST-FO administrative processing. The incumbent will provide qualitative and quantitative oversight of MST administrative business operations and advise MST-FO leadership on trends, program weaknesses and significant findings that transcend MST directorates.
Duties
Supervise MST-FO staff, assigns work, monitors progress, and fosters career development.
Manage execution of human capital actions for approximately 200 employees to include staffing, performance management and other and other human capital actions.
Manage MST-FO policy and procedure development, review and modification.
Manage MST-FO budget to include travel system management, budget allocation and execution monitoring.
Manage MST training request processing to include requirement development and monitoring mandatory compliance training.
Manage MST property accountability program execution to include conducting inventory and maintenance of property records.
Manage MST-FO space and facilities requirements.
Advise MST leadership on the administrative program execution.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Position has been designated as Noncritical Sensitive. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (see http://www.sss.gov).
- Incumbent is required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and is subject to random drug testing for the duration of service with DoD OIG.
- Current DoD civilian employees are not required to submit to drug testing if moving from one Testing Designated Position (TDP) to another with no break in service, unless deemed appropriate on a case-by-case basis.
- The incumbent must adhere to the DoD Standards of Conduct.
Qualifications
Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-14 level, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-13 in the federal service or equivalent or higher grade.
Specialized Experience: You must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-13 level in the federal service or at an equivalent level. Specialized experience includes (1) coordinating and monitoring the functions of administrative services such as budget, travel, training, and time/attendance; and (2) understanding of the agency policies and procedures governing these functions.

Paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social) is qualifying. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience.
Qualification and time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Applicants who have held a non-temporary General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the time-in-grade restriction.
