About the Position: Serves as an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN) for Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Update software and hardware to support uninterrupted COP system operations.
Maintain COP database accuracy by troubleshooting errors and coordinating with the team.
Identify and resolve technical issues within COP systems to sustain system integrity.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot system application problems and enhance performance.
Assist and users with system functions to resolve issues and improve COP utilization. Provide training on COP applications to support operational readiness.
Track data to ensure mission-aligned situational awareness.
Monitor system performance metrics to quickly detect and address technical issues.

Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a single scope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- This position may require Temporary Duty (TDY) 30 days or less travel to various locations approximately 10% of the time.
- May be subject to short notice. The call must reside within a 50 mile radius of duty locations.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
- May be required to work uncommon tour of duty hours working either fixed or rotating shift which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
- Employee is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450. Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Supporting command systems by updating software and hardware to ensure continuous operation, assisting in managing operational databases by troubleshooting issues and coordinating with team members, monitoring system performance to identify and resolve operational issues, providing training on IT tools to enhance team capabilities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
My specialized experience includes, or was supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
(1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: completing work independently that rarely requires editing or review by others;

Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: identifying and solving problems by gathering and applying information from a variety of materials or sources that provide several alternatives; recognizing and taking action to address non-routine problems; soliciting feedback from multiple stakeholders to understand an issue or problem and accurately assess its root causes and potential solutions; seeking supervisory review where appropriate.
