About the Position: Serves as an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN) for Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Update software and hardware to support uninterrupted COP system operations. Maintain COP database accuracy by troubleshooting errors and coordinating with the team. Identify and resolve technical issues within COP systems to sustain system integrity. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot system application problems and enhance performance. Assist and users with system functions to resolve issues and improve COP utilization. Provide training on COP applications to support operational readiness. Track data to ensure mission-aligned situational awareness. Monitor system performance metrics to quickly detect and address technical issues. Provide training on COP applications to support operational readiness.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a single scope background investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • This position may require Temporary Duty (TDY) 30 days or less travel to various locations approximately 10% of the time.
  • May be subject to short notice. The call must reside within a 50 mile radius of duty locations.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
  • May be required to work uncommon tour of duty hours working either fixed or rotating shift which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Employee is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450. Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually.
