You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Supply Operations Division (N41) of CNSSC FLD DET MECH PA.
Duties
You will provide direction for the Navy Supply Chain function or designated Business Process across all locations where the process is performed.
You will Plan, develop and implement process and policy changes that address process weaknesses and improve the level of support to customers as well as internal efficiencies.
You will be accountable for coordinating the establishment of quantitative parameters for business process execution.
You will Develop innovative strategies and procedures to overcome process problems and to evaluate, maintain, and improve process performance.
You will Serve as NAVSUP spokesperson and acknowledged expert in designated Supply Chain function or Business Process.
You will Exercise technical and administrative supervision over a typical staff of three to five employees comprised of two GS-2003-13s, one or two GS-2003-12s and, one Military Member.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Supply Management Specialist work that demonstrates having a mastery knowledge and skill of supply chain management policies and procedures relating to the mission and supply operations of shore and afloat activities. Specialized experience includes: 1) Applying expert knowledge of all aspects of Supply Chain and automated supply systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Single Supply Solution (SSS) and legacy IT; 2) Providing direction and exercising oversight over processes and operations for the entire Supply Chain; 3) Supporting supply operations and logistics policy through the facilitation of research; and 4) Integrating new technologies and best practices resulting in functional modifications of the delivery of supply chain management.
