You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the BUDGET AND PROGRAMS DIVISION (N41) of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.

Duties

You will utilize financial management systems for collecting, processing, maintaining, transmitting, portraying, and reporting data about financial events. You will apply regulations, policies, and operating instructions applicable to financial management operations. You will develop and prepare budget exhibits and documentation for Department of the Navy budget submissions. You will prepare budget execution reports and analyses for direct funded and reimbursable resources. You will maintain accounting documentation on all funding increases and decreases to annual resources.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

GS-11 To qualify for the FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-2210-11, your resume must demonstrate at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience researching and analyzing financial reports and data files and provides assistance in interpreting and evaluating financial and accounting reports Experience coordinating resource requirements and recommend resource allocations based on priorities and needs. Experience processing data and perform broad-in-depth financial analysis of interrelated accounting or out-of-balance conditions associated with processing actions within Financial Management systems. Experience preparing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/Training Briefs/Command Instructions. NOTE: THIS INFORMATION MUST BE SUPPORTED IN YOUR RESUME TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION. Experience maintaining accounting documentation on all funding increases and decreases to annual resources. Experience reviewing reports, documentation and work papers to ensure compliance with financial standards. Experience applying financial and accounting standards in review of internal controls.
