You will serve as an Apple/Multimedia IT/IA Systems Administrator at the GG-13 grade level providing support to (Apple based systems) a variety of technical issues to include: desktop (to include graphical, video and photographic systems), server hardware/software and network troubleshooting.
Duties
You will serve as Apple Systems Multimedia IT/Infrastructure representative to Command ISSM and Hopper related requirements and responsibilities
You will provide advice and recommendations on evolving multimedia systems and networks planning and implementation.
You will consult and instruct users on hardware and software questions/issues.
You will collaborate with IT Service Center and Network Infrastructure teams.
You will collaborate with other teams (Windows, Apple, Web, Special ONI labs) to share and obtain information on routine and non-routine maintenance and troubleshooting of common systems and their interactions with command systems infrastructure.
You will conduct weekly meetings with MSD specialists and technicians on systems functionally and future planning for media and audiovisual systems.
You will run diagnostic tests to isolate system problems and make recommendations for potential solutions.
You will apply and maintain knowledge of Operating Systems Apple OS-X, Microsoft Windows, MS Office (Windows and Apple), graphical, video, and photographic based software (Apple).
Providing experience with Remote Support technologies such as Remote Desktop (Microsoft), Apple Remote Desktop, VNC.
Providing experience with enterprise-wide rollouts of new operating systems and software.
You will remove viruses and spyware using various tools.
You will independently perform day-to-day maintenance, user account creation, troubleshooting and administration of MSD systems.
You will install, configure and maintain Apple/PC peripherals (local and network printers, scanners), and other end user equipment.
You will provide support to PC/OSX controllers units for engravers, cutters, DVD duplicators, Lithographic, Photographic, Audiovisual and Video related systems. Responsible for the CERP plan and other IT related duties.
Requirements

In addition to your experience demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS/GG-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:
Diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing apple desktop systems, printers, peripherals and operating problems.
Installing, maintaining, and recommending equipment and its associated infrastructure including high-capacity media servers.
Planning, developing and certifying current and future multimedia systems and networks for the department.
