About the Position: Serves as a Capability Development and Integration Specialist (Fires) within the Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate (CDID), Futures and Concepts Center (FCC).
DE-03 pay band encompasses GS-12 Step 1 to GS-13 Step 10.
Duties
Serves as the organizational integrator and Fires subject matter expert.
Provides Fires capability development expertise and recommendations.
Plans, organizes, and executes a wide range of complex capability development projects.
Prepares and presents briefings that detail the role of assigned programs within the Future Force, Army Vision, and Joint Vision.
Determines policy formulation, refinement or clarification is necessary to ensure procedures, processes, and actions are in accordance with principles, objectives, and standards.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the DE-02 (GS-11) grade level or higher in the Federal service which includes:1) conducting reviews, analysis, and evaluations of Field Artillery / Air Defense Artillery systems to determine their effectiveness under projected combat conditions, 2) initiating the acquisition process for Field Artillery / Air Defense systems, and 3) experience with lifecycle engineering and capability development to support and develop future force capabilities with Field Artillery and Air Defense. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-02/GS-11).
Education
